    The Sr. Quality Engineer | CMM/Vision Programmer will be responsible for the collection of data for first piece, in-process inspection, and/or tooling debug - tooling component measurement to drive process and continuous improvements.

    Requirements

    • Coordinates quality requirements with cross functional teams. Assure that quality requirements are understood and attainable. Works with Manufacturing Engineering, Tooling, Engineering, Design and Manufacturing to assists in developing PFMEA's, Process Flow Charts, and Inspection Control Plans and statistical capability.
    • Interpret blueprints and specifications related to geometric tolerancing, gauging, statistical requirements and related specifications.
    • Develop inspection plans and methods including fixture and gage design, use or CAD software in design.
    • Interface with customers, sales and engineering to resolve quality issues. Assist in analyzing customer complaints as a member of 8D analysis team.
    • Knowledgeable ISO 9000, ISO TS 16949 Automotive, ISO 13485 Medical and other customer specific requirements.
    • Requires working knowledge of various types of measuring equipment and data collection systems, specifically Vision Systems and CMM.
    • First piece, in process and final inspection of the more difficult production tooling on an as needed basis
    • 3 - 5 years of experience in Quality Control/Assurance in a tight tolerance industry with an automotive and medical customer base.
    • Must be proficient in blueprint interpretation, geometric tolerance and statistics.
    • Other duties as assigned by management.
    Education
    • A two-year college degree (AS) or equivalent required.
