    Reality Labs (RL) Sensors Team at Meta is helping build novel products in Augmented and Virtual Reality.

    Our team explores, develops, and delivers new cutting-edge sensing technologies that serve as the foundation of current and future AR/VR products at Meta.

    We are looking for candidates with experience in Digital Signal Processing (DSP) for sensor systems to assist with the development of novel hardware and software systems within the RL Sensors Team, while collaborating with experts across multiple domains.

    Sensor Signal Pipeline Engineer ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with other researchers and engineers across Facebook to develop novel hardware and software products that advance the state-of-the-art in AR/VR systems.

    Collaborate with internal and external research, design, and engineering teams to develop Digital Signal Processing (DSP) algorithms for sensor systems that advance the state-of-the-art.

    Architect, design, and prototype critical sensor technologies that combine multiple sensing modalities, while balancing system-level constraints on size, weight, power, performance, and cost.

    Work with the team to help design, setup, and run practical experiments related to sensor systems.

    Minimum QualificationsBS degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or related engineering disciplines.5+ years' industry experience, directly contributing to DSP algorithm development for consumer electronics products.5+ years' experience in embedded software development using C/C++.Hands-on experience working with at least one sensing modality including Inertial Sensors, Pressure Sensors, Magnetometers, Ultrasonic Transducers, and/or similar sensors.

    Demonstrated experience in signal conditioning, digital filtering, signal-to-noise ratio analysis, link-budget analysis, detection and estimation theory.
    Proficiency in using benchtop equipment such as logic analyzers, oscilloscopes, and signal generators.
    Demonstrated interpersonal experience in cross-group and cross-culture collaboration.

    Preferred QualificationsMS or PhD degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or related engineering disciplines.5+ years' experience with scripting environments such as MATLAB and/or Python.

    Experience with Simultaneous Localization and Mapping (SLAM), Visual Inertial Odometry (VIO), and Sensor Fusion algorithms.
    Familiarity with modern Machine Learning algorithms, specifically Deep Convolutional Networks, Recurrent Neural Networks, Clustering, and Dimensionality Reduction.
    Familiarity with the emerging Augmented Reality and Virtual Reality technologies.
    High levels of creativity and quick problem-solving skills.
