    Description
    The mission of the program is to create a modern solution for the customer that will allow them to transition off their current, legacy system, which has not had an update in the last decade
    The work is all new development efforts, with no O&M as the customer is continuing to request additional features and functions as they see the product's progress and capabilities
    As a Sr
    Engineer on the health side of the program, you would be responsible for creating custom code with the latest versions of Java and JavaScript, as well as utilizing REST APIs
    It is a DevOps environment operating on SaaS platform (Salesforce)
    While you would need to be willing to learn the Salesforce platform, as the customer has committed to using it to building its new solution, you would not be responsible to perform declarative programing in this role - this is typically left to the Jr
    Engineers on the team
    The Sr
    Engineer is needed to create customized solutions not offered through the out-of-the-box options provided by the SaaS platform

    Responsibilities:

    • Design, develop, and implement high-quality, scalable solutions using Java and JavaScript on our SaaS platform.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
    • Utilize REST APIs to integrate other application services and enhance platform functionality.
    • Perform code reviews, testing, debugging, and troubleshooting to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
    • Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to drive continuous improvement.
    • Contribute to the software development lifecycle, including planning, estimation, and documentation
    Requirements


    • A current and active TS/SCI clearance with Poly
    • Can wave the clearance requirement for a strong candidate with SaaS development experience.
    • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field (preferred), with at least 6 years of relevant experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience (9 years without a degree).
    • Proficiency in Java and JavaScript, with a strong understanding of object-oriented programming principles.
    • Solid experience working with REST APIs and web services.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
    • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
    • Salesforce training or certification is a plus, but not required
