To help us drive excellence, as a Wire EDM Machinist you'll get to:
Support the Company's mission, vision, values and goals in the performance of daily activities.

• Set up, operate, and troubleshoot Charmille and Mitsubishi Wire EDM equipment
• Perform 2D Programming
• Understand and use measurement tools and equipment for inspections, such as gauges, calipers, and micrometers
• Read blue prints to determine dimensions and tolerance specifications
• Perform minor preventative maintenance and daily cleanup of machines and work areas
• Compare recorded measurements to blueprint dimensions and tolerances and notify specified persons of discrepancies
• Make decisions and judgments about proper course of action for repair and maintenance.
• Maintain good safety and housekeeping practices
• Promote teamwork and show a willingness to work with other departments.
• Take initiative to find solutions quickly to problems that ariseUse CAD/CAM software (Bob Wire) to program details through EDM.

This full-time role is a part of our Machine Shop team and reports to the Machine Shop Manager Required education & experience:

• High school Diploma or general education degree (GED); - 5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education or experience

Required skills & Abilities:
Ability to read and write in English and perform mathematical calculations.
Ability to work well with others in a team environment.

Previous EDM and/or machining experience Programming and basic machine shop experience Ability to read blueprints Excellent communication skills, both verbal and writtenPreferred additional skills & abilities:

• Ability to work with Microsoft Office at a basic level.
