Overview and Essential Functions Are you a safety major looking to gain some real-world experience in your industry? If so, Ervin Cable Construction has an opportunity for you.

A successful Intern shall assist assigned department(s) with the completion of administrative tasks.

At a minimum, the position requires a good working knowledge of general office functions; proficient in the use of word processing and spreadsheet software with emphasis on Microsoft Office; ability to use a computer and other office related equipment; ability to read, understand, interpret, input, and analyze data.

Essential Functions:
In order to perform this job, you must demonstrate, either by training or experience:

the ability to read understand, interpret, input, and analyze data with a high degree of accuracy and completeness;
excellent manual dexterity;
the ability to work with internal and external (field office) personnel in a professional and courteous manner;
the ability to follow instructions and communicate verbally and in writing;
the ability to work seated at a table for extended periods; Responsibilities:
Completion of low level tasks in support of an assigned department/project.
Receive, organize, file, and maintain documents and/or data for an assigned department/project.
Create, update, validate and forward various forms of communication to internal and external recipients.
Read, interpret, and input data in support of an assigned department/project. Qualifications
Prior work related experience.
Proficient in the use of office hardware and software. (PCs, Tablets, Printers, Copiers, Microsoft, Google, etc.)
Excellent Customer Service skills and strong English language skills both oral and written.
Authorized to work in the United States.
Successful completion of pre-employment drug screen, background, and motor vehicle record check.

Workplace Environment and Physical Demands:

To be considered for this position, a candidate must possess the ability to sit for long periods of time, while using repetitive and/or fine hand movements to complete computer related tasks and/or other office functions.
