    Description

    Job Title: Front Desk Staff at West Side Federation for Senior and Supportive Housing, Inc.

    West Side Federation for Senior and Supportive Housing, Inc. (WSFSSH) is dedicated to offering safe and affordable housing with supportive services to enhance the independence and dignity of each individual within a residential setting.

    WSFSSH focuses on developing, managing, and providing housing for low-income older persons, many of whom have faced challenges such as mental illness and homelessness.

    As a Front Desk Staff member under the supervision of the administrator, you will be responsible for providing various services and supervision to residents to promote safe and independent living.

    In addition to this, you will be contributing to maintaining an atmosphere of respect and compassion that uplifts the dignity of residents, staff, and visitors.


    Specific duties include:
    • Monitor resident activities to ensure their well-being and safety
    • Respond to emergency calls and implement necessary procedures
    • Assist residents in accessing required services and report repair/service requests
    • Exercise authority based on building guidelines and management instructions
    • Respond to alarms, disturbances, and emergencies following building protocols
    • Answer facility telephone professionally and maintain log of activities
    • Ensure the sidewalk is clear of hazards and garbage
    • Collaborate with the team to provide high-quality care and respect to residents
    • Share resident progress and concerns with other staff while adhering to confidentiality policies
    • Attend training sessions and conferences to enhance job skills
    • Submit reports in a timely manner and work cooperatively with colleagues
    • Perform other duties as assigned
    Qualifications:
    • High School Diploma or equivalent (higher education preferred)
    • Ability to work in a diverse environment
    • Proficiency in English (as required by DSS regulation)
    • Experience working with dependent individuals
