    Role Description

    Help us grow our company and team Summit is a high-growth human capital consulting firm that focuses on leadership and organization performance. We are looking for a Director of Talent to help us build a talented team and thriving organization culture at Summit. In this position, you will lead the design and execution of Summit's strategies for recruiting, onboarding, fostering learning and development, managing performance, and nurturing our culture. This role requires establishing external connections with talent in the consulting market while staying aligned with Summit's evolving talent needs for sustained growth strategies.     Responsibilities

    • Develop and lead all things talent – recruitment, career development, employee engagement, culture and performance.
    • Build a network and market understanding of high-caliber talent to join Summit.
    • Attract, recruit, assess, and hire talented new team members.
    • Ensure consistent and high-quality onboarding experiences for all new hires, enabling their deployment on client projects within 90 days.
    • Support the ongoing development of team members through a mix of formal and informal training initiatives.
    • Lead all professional development programs across the company, including career pathing.
    • Manage our intern and early career talent programs, collaborating with functional heads for execution and placement.
    • Drive innovation in our performance management processes, fostering regular feedback and real-time post-project reviews.
    • Lead Summit employee engagement and culture initiatives to align with our entrepreneurial cultural values.
    • Maintain awareness and pulse of Summit's cultural dynamics, fostering connection with our people and ensuring responsiveness to their needs.
    • Establish infrastructure to support the rapid growth of our organization while preserving our entrepreneurial spirit.
    • Provide personalized coaching and guidance to team members to unlock their full potential.
    • Manage 3rd party relationships to support HR administration, including payroll, benefits, etc.
    • Ensure all Summit team personnel documentation and records are accurately stored and up-to-date electronically.

    Required Qualifications

    • 5+ years of experience in recruiting, human resources, talent management or people operations with a track record of building an organization.
    • Prefer experience in scaling talent and organization growth in the professional services industry.
    • Successful experience working in a fast-growing, dynamic business environment.
    • Bachelor's degree in a related field such as human resources, management, organization development, etc. A master's degree is a plus.
    • Highly organized with the ability to prioritize in an entrepreneurial culture.
    • A proactive approach to problem-solving, continuous improvement, and decision-making.
    • Professional verbal and written communication skills.
    • Highly confidential and professional on all sensitive matters.
    • Ability to learn, expand the scope in the future, and scale as the company grows.
    • Must be based in Charlotte or the surrounding area. Capable of working productively from home and in the office (2-3 days/week)
