We are currently seeking a summer Manufacturing Systems Specialist Intern to work with our Supply Chain Management / Logistics department .Professional growth and the opportunity to develop?Handi Products is a consolidation of six (6) organizations.
Handi Ramp, founded in 1958, is one of the oldest manufacturers of metal ramps in the United States which specializes in safety and accessibility products.
PetStep International delivers pet accessibility products to the consumer and retail markets.Industrial Toolz specializes in the manufacturing of metal material handling products such as yard ramps, dock plates and dock boards.
Handi Trailers, Mid-State Trailers & Fleming Trailers specialize in the manufacture and sale of trailers that accommodate, but are not limited to, utility equipment trailers, gooseneck trailers, flatbed trailers, equipment and car hauling trailers.

Review and analyze cost spreadsheets to ensure accuracy and compliance with organizational standardsUpdate BOMs in the ERP system based on changes in design, materials, or production processesCollaborate with procurement, engineering, and production teams to validate BOM dataEnsure that BOMs reflect the latest revisions and incorporate any engineering changesMonitor material costs and identify opportunities for cost reductionParticipate in cross-functional meetings to discuss BOM updates and resolve discrepanciesMaintain documentation related to BOM changes and approvalsSupport audits and compliance checks related to BOM accuracyOther costing projects as assignedRequirements
Currently pursuing a degree in Supply Chain Management or Logistics, Finance, Cost Accounting, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related fieldProficiency in using ERP systemsProficiency in using Microsoft ExcelStrong analytical skills and attention to detailExcellent communication and collaboration abilitiesKnowledge of cost accounting principles and BOM structures
Additional Information:
Duration :
10 weeks, approximately -32- hours per week, project to begin in mid-MayCompensation :
Paid internship, the hourly rate will depend on prior experience and years in school
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
