Matthew 25's Groundswell Cafe is a leader in providing healthy food to all people. As a pay-it-forward café, we provide healthy meals to those who might not otherwise receive a healthy hot meal. We are looking for a team member who will help us provide great meals to paying and pay-it-forward people. The ideal candidate is someone who will bring restaurant and cooking experience, foster a collaborative workplace and promote teamwork while serving our patrons.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES (include but are not limited to the following)

Take orders, keep the cafe looking organized, run food, clear tables and meet the needs of the Café, meeting and exceeding the diner's expectations in quality, and timing of meals.

Maintain a clean and organized kitchen and dining room.

Provide excellent customer service, making visitors feel welcome and encourage repeat business, building relationships with our guests in the café.

Ability to use the cash register (Square)

Willingness to help with cleaning and dishwashing and other side work.

Maintain Linn County Public Health food safety standards and regulations.

Recommend process improvements for increased efficiencies.

Display and promote company values.

Regular attendance.

Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND/OREXPERIENCE (includes but are not limited to the following)

Education in culinary arts and/or previous experience in a relatable field preferred

Food preparation experience preferred.
