- We typically hire CMAs as caregivers initially to help you get familiar with our residents, team dynamics, and community culture. This approach boosts your confidence and success rates when transitioning to a CMA role.
- Deliver routine daily medications to residents, whether prescription or non-prescription.
- Collaborate with different nurses to provide resident care and manage medications effectively.
- Adhere to written or verbal instructions regarding medication administration.
- Document medication dosages and timings accurately.
- Monitor residents' conditions and note any changes.
- Collect samples for analysis as needed.
- Maintain and clean medication-related equipment regularly.
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations.
- High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
- Must hold certification as a medication aide.
- Preferred minimum of 2 years' experience as a medication aide.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Solid knowledge of medical and pharmacological terminology.
