The residency is conducted over a 12 month period, generally July through June. This timeline is a guide for the resident and director. Adjustments and changes can be made throughout the year. The resident is also expected to staff a minimum of four shifts per month performing the duties in the areas where competency has been achieved or demonstrate an equivalent benefit to the pharmacy department as agreed upon by the pharmacy clinical manager and corresponding residency director.
