Mental Health Practitioner

Twin Cities - Primarily throughout Dakota County
Hourly Wage:
$25.00 per hour
Schedule:
Part-Time afternoons and early evenings during the work week (Monday-Friday). Schedules will vary based on the cases and may range from 2 hours to 20 hours per week.
MERIDIAN SERVICES provides person centered services to people with intellectual disabilities and/or mental health diagnosis in a variety of settings, including Residential (group home services), In Home Services/ semi-independent living assistance, vocational services, case management and other supportive programs.
JOB SUMMARY:
As a Mental Health Practioner at Meridian Services, you will carry a small caseload that includes working with children, families, and young adults who need support on a short-term basis.
In this role, you will be working on:
Implementing personalized treatment plans
conducting individual or family skills training
Developing safety plans
Communication with team members that may include: parents, social workers, county workers, providers, and probation officers.
Working with persons on problem solving, social skills, coping skills and behavioral modifications

Requirements:
*Experience working with persons with mental health diagnosis
*Have a vehicle with current car insurance.
*Have an acceptable driving record as determined by Meridian Services policy.
*Successful clearance from a DHS background Study.
*Mental Health Practitioners must be qualified in one of the following: Completed at least 30 semester hours or 45 quarter hours in behavioral sciences or related fields AND have at least 2,000 hours of supervised experience in the delivery of services to adults or children with mental health, substance use disorder or emotional disturbances.
Has at least 4,000 hours of supervised work experience in the delivery of services to adults or children with any of the following: Mental health, substance use disorder, emotional disturbance.
Has a graduate student internship or a bachelor's or master's degree and is a graduate student in behavioral sciences or related fields and is formally assigned by an accredited college or university to an agency or facility for clinical training.
Holds a master's or other graduate degree in behavioral sciences or related fields or
Holds a bachelor's degree in behavioral sciences or related fields and completes a practicum or internship that (1) requires direct interaction with adults or children served, and (2) is focused on behavioral sciences or related fields.
Has a graduate student internship or a bachelor's or master's degree and is a graduate student in behavioral sciences or related fields and is formally assigned by an accredited college or university to an agency or facility for clinical training.
Has a bachelor's or master's degree with any of the following:Holds a master's or other graduate degree in behavioral sciences or related fields.
Holds a bachelor's degree in behavioral sciences or related fields and completes a practicum or internship that (1) requires direct interaction with adults or children served, and (2) is focused on behavioral sciences or related fields.
