Well respected insurance defense firm looking for an automobile and general liability attorney with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience to join our team. We offer competitive compensation based on relevant experience. We are seeking an associate that is proactive and motivated with the ability handle their own case load and day to day management of files from intake to conclusion. We handle cases in the Hudson Valley area and transportation in needed. Full time in office.

Responsibilities:

• Day to day management of case files and communication with court, clients, witnesses, opposing counsel, and co-counsel in a manner consistent with established office procedures.
• Prepare pleadings; draft and comply with discovery, conduct depositions, draft and respond to motions and briefs in support of defense strategies.
• Arrange for medical examinations and meet with experts in various fields.
• Analyze complex legal and factual issues, conduct legal research, independently develop and present defense strategies on behalf of clients.
• Responsible for the prompt, efficient, and effective disposition of assigned cases.
• Appear in court for discovery, motions, settlement and pretrial conferences.
• Preparing/conducting witnesses and evidence at trials, judicial and administrative hearings, arbitrations, and alternative dispute resolutions.

Minimum Requirements:

• MUST have Bachelor's degree with J.D., and ADMISSION TO BAR IN NEW YORK
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in insurance defense
• Litigation Experience required
• Federal Court practice a plus
