    DESCRIPTION OF WORK

    County Social Services Aide 1s within our Children and Youth Services department are a vital part of the organization. The aide will have access to a county vehicle with which he/she will be responsible for transporting children and their families to medical visits, family visits, and various other appointments, including locations outside of county limits. This position provides clients/residents and their families with valuable assistance surrounding activities of daily living. The aide will provide supervision for visitations as needed as well as other duties as assigned. Depending on the needs of clients, non-traditional hours may be necessary. It is imperative that this position works cooperatively in a team environment with other aides, clerks, caseworkers, and supervisors in an attempt to provide the best possible outcomes for children and families across the county.

    Work Schedule and Additional Information:
    • Full-time employment
    • Work hours are 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
    • Occasional nights and weekends as needed, as well as overtime.
    • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

    REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

    QUALIFICATIONS

    Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
    • Graduation from high school; or
    • Any equivalent combination of training and experience.
    Other Requirements:

    • You must be able to perform essential job functions.

    • A conditional offer of employment will require drug screening.
