Description
Job Summary:
Primary responsibilities for the Material Handler Lead are to ensure raw materials and other items needed for production are delivered to the appropriate work area and tracked in a timely manner.
Duties include transferring material between warehouses, and assisting with the receipts of in-bound material facilities, placement of raw materials in proper storage areas and processing all documentation to insure inventory accuracy.
Schedule:
3pm - 11:30pm M-F with overtime as needed.
Essential Job FunctionsThe list of essential functions, as outlined herein, is intended to be representative of the tasks performed within this classification.

Prepare work area at the beginning of the shift and ensuring that is ready and clean for the next shift which include replenishing necessary materials and paperwork Ensure stock and supplies are delivered to appropriate work areas as requested Wrap and prepare inner company transfers Breakdown incoming shipments of raw materials (warehouse transferred or newly received) Communicate to supervisor of low stock level concerns Unload and load PLI truck Collect and prepare recycle material for shipment and gather/dispose of trash in the warehouse Log pull sheets Track all jobs and double check paperwork for accuracy Deliver shipments to and from PLI warehouses and main plant as needed Load scrap trailer and gaylords.
Organize stock, front stock, wrap stock, and label cards Keep dock cleared and ready for incoming shipments Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follow prescribed safety regulations.
Safely perform physical demands as indicated below Perform these and other duties as assigned by supervisor or other appropriate management personnel.
Work mandatory overtime as needed to meet customer needs.Qualifications:
Acceptable driving record Valid drivers' license One year factory related experience in both shipping and receiving Experience with material handling equipment: Forklift & Pallet JackEducation:High School Diploma or GED requiredKnowledge, Skills, Abilities: Required to read and write English Strong communication skills Basic computer skills and able to communicate via email
