    Job Description

    Position Summary Directs the work activity of all second shift employees in production and related departments.

    Oversees the operation of plant wide processes to assure production demands and quality standards are met in a safe and timely manner.

    Job Responsibilities include

    Oversees the work activity of all 2nd shift employees. Counsels and or disciplines employees with performance and or disciple problems. Administers all actions taken fairly and in accordance with company policy. Maintains responsibility for the safety of all personnel. Informs workers of job-related hazards and sees that all work areas are kept clean and orderly. Insures production demands and quality standards are met in a safe and timely manner. Coordinates the efforts of all departments to insure production standards are met. Works with supervisors, technicians, and personnel from each department to maintain an efficient workflow. Investigates and expedites the handling of problems with property, equipment, and machinery. Performs minor maintenance and repairs on equipment as necessary. Reports to work prior to the beginning of the 2nd shift and stays into the 3rd shift when needed. Maintains responsible for opening and pre-opening or closing and securing plant as necessary. Qualifications High School diploma or equivalent. Three (3) to five (5) years progressive experience in a manufacturing capacity. Familiarity with production and quality standards. Knowledge of plant wide procedures and operations. Good verbal and written communication skills. Supervisory skills and experience a must. Organizational skills required. Some computer skills desired. Requires math skills. Physical Requirements Must be able to lift up to fifty (50) pounds. Must be able to carry up to twenty-five (25) pounds. Requires frequent climbing. Must be able to occasionally balance, kneel, crouch and reach.
