Job description
Heinz Chapel is seeking a Part-Time Temporary Wedding and Events Assisting Coordinator.Be part of a team that has hosted weddings and events for happy couples and guests for decades at a breathtaking, iconic building in Pittsburgh.
Duties for this role include, but are not limited to:Serves as the Chapel representative at weddings and events for clients, vendors and guests.
Assists the Heinz Chapel wedding coordinator with rehearsal and ceremony set up and coordination of wedding party
Acts as a building steward, maintaining keys and badge access. Secures and opens the building.
Oversees vendor (photographers, videographers, officiants, etc.) compliance with guidelines and strict time schedules.
Develops an understanding of all technical aspects of the Chapel including audio and lighting systems and recorded organ system
Other duties and special projects as assigned
Weekend and evening work will be required in this position. Incumbent to work approximately 2 weekends per month.
Note:
This position is part-time and will pay $20 per hour.
Chapel guidelines and policies need to be followed; however, each event (wedding, memorial service, etc.) requires the incumbent to be sensitive to the individuals involved.
Must handle difficult and complex situations with tact and diplomacy to maintain a service-oriented environment. Weekend and evening work is essential.Availability Requested

This role involves moving through the Chapel building and grounds during events and tours, which may include extended periods of physical activity.
A High School Diploma or GED is required. Customer service and/or event planning experience preferred.
