    Job Description:

    Our client is a multibillion-dollar corporation and leader in the industrial manufacturing of products both for the commercial and private consumer industries. We are seeking a Controls Specialist to support electrical projects impacting the manufacturing process and have their hand in mentoring a small team of electrical and instrumentation technicians in effort to enhance the capabilities of the maintenance team.

    Required skills/experience:

    • AS in automation or related field with a minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience or no formal education with a minimum of 5+ years of experience with industrial controls and automation in a continuous process manufacturing environment
    • Proficiency with Rockwell Automation software (RSLogix, Studio 5000)
    • Experience with FactoryTalk View (FTView) or Wonderware platforms for HMI development
    • Ability to troubleshoot and configure VFDs
    • Capability to support engineering with the defining, installation, and maintenance of process control/control logic systems and equipment
    • Demonstrate the ability and knowledge of electrical components, power distribution systems, instrumentation & controls, and variable speed drives

    Desired skills/experience:

    • Proven expertise in analyzing, diagnosing, and developing improved specifications for process control/control logic systems within a continuous process manufacturing environment
    • Extensive experience working with maintenance & reliability teams to develop good preventative maintenance systems
    • Experience in both RSLogix 500 and Studio5000 platforms
    • Proficiency with CCW for control system programming
    • Experience using data acquisition applications in support of analyzing and reporting automation related information
