    Universal Orlando Resort believes in-person collaboration is key to our success. Many of our Team Members work in a hybrid capacity, contributing from the workplace a minimum of three days per week. There are also roles that require being on-site full time. Limited remote opportunities may be available within specific departments. You'll learn more about this during the recruitment process.

    JOB SUMMARY:

    Drafts, reviews, analyzes, negotiates, and processes contracts and related documents for Universal Orlando project teams in accordance with the Contracts Policies and Procedures and all applicable Universal Orlando Systems. Works in conjunction with Engineering, EHS, Risk Management, Sourcing, and Finance Departments.

    MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
    • Assists with pre-qualification of bidders and securing of confidentiality agreements. Reviews, edits, and/or drafts scopes of work and compiles and routes contract documents for internal and external approvals and execution.
    • Assists with RFPs, which may include preparation of bid documents and addenda, attending bid meetings, and assisting Sourcing and project team with bidder review and selection of successful bidder. Prepares appropriate contract form, including all addenda items, and assists with negotiation of Terms & Conditions in a form consistent with company policies and procedures. Coordinates with successful bidder for execution of final contract.
    • Prepares and issues close out documentation. Assists with claims administration. Prepares guidance documents and provides training to project teams as needed. Ensures compliance with contractual obligations and that company policies and procedures/internal controls are followed in all transactions related to this role.
    • Attends weekly/monthly project meetings. Assists with preparation and review of directives, directive settlement forms and monitoring of related informational logs. Prepares and issues contract change orders based on directive settlements. Issues Contract Status Reports. Maintains electronic contract files, document control, and retention of files. Monitors Notice to Owners.
    • Verifies insurance coverage, Vendor qualification, and prepares Notices of Commencement and Notices to Proceed (if required).
    • Understands and actively participates in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training and team member involvement activities.
    • Performs other duties as assigned.
    EDUCATION:

    Bachelor's degree is required.

    EXPERIENCE:
    • 2+ years in drafting, analyzing, amending, and negotiating detailed contracts and scopes of work required
    • Construction-related, technical, and/or entertainment contract experience highly desired.
