    Role:
    The Engineering Manager is responsible for overseeing and supervising all Manufacturing Engineering and New Product Introduction Engineering operations.
    Institutes goals for the team and individuals related to priorities, and performance benchmarks.
    Tackles substantial challenges, demonstrating a high level of initiative in directing staff toward supporting manufacturing and process improvement initiatives.
    Oversees Manufacturing and NPI Engineering.
    Operates autonomously yet handles substantial and/or cross-functional projects that may necessitate approval from Leadership.

    Guides implementation of appropriate project management tools, engineering processes, and systems to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of plant personnel.

    Manages the workload of staff to accommodate dynamic internal and external customer demands.

    Monitors the talent within the department to ensure it aligns with the business's requirements in terms of aptitude and potential.

    Drafts written documentation for the implementation of new or updated procedures.

    Collaborates with leadership to develop, maintain, and enhance setup procedures, operator training, and metrics related to quality, safety, and production.


    Qualifications:
    4-year degree in Engineering or relevant discipline.

    • 10 years of work experience in a related manufacturing role.
    5 years managing an engineering team of 5+ individuals.
    Experience with leading Lean Manufacturing initiatives.
    Sigma background (Black Belt or in progress) with hands-on experience applying those concepts.
    Root cause analysis methodology (A3).
    Strong 5S experience.
    Previous project management experience.
    Experience with implementing MFG KPIs.
    Nice to have – Machine shop experience.
    Proven understanding of manufacturing systems encompassing shop floor procedures.
    Familiarity with ERP systems and quality protocols within a high-standard quality setting such as ISO.
    Extensive understanding of various manufacturing processes.
    Ability to read and interpret complex customer drawings and specifications.
    Experience with Material Requirements Planning and Enterprise Resource Planning software


    Computer skills:
    Microsoft Office products and Basic knowledge and experience with CAD/CAM (Solidworks, Autocad, Mastercam).

    Proficiency in clear verbal and written communication, including the crafting of precise written instructions for intricate procedures and the development of process flowcharts and maps.
