    Nursing Assistant, Certified

    Job Summary:

    • Serves as caregiver to the resident during scheduled work period in long-term care.
    • Provides resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance to assigned residents under supervision of a registered nurse (RN).

    Duties:

    1. Gives basic health care needs including daily living activities such as bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing/undressing.
    2. Takes vital signs, provides psychosocial support, transfers/repositions/walks using correct techniques/equipment.
    The Nursing Assistant aids providers/nursing staff members with procedures if needed. Assists food preparation/dining while creating positive dining experience for residents.Documenets/resident interactions/outcomes related to resident behavior/activity/dietary issues
    To communicate changing conditions/care concerns/responses to charge nurse.Collects non-invasive body fluid specimens/gathers vital signs.Promotes housekeeping/laundry services assistances/residents maintaining clean operational areas.Assts documentation wellness/recreational programs encourages participation.May participate departmental/task forces when required.
