    Job Summary

    The Director of Sales is primarily responsible for growing the top line revenue for Resolution Medical while also considering profitability, project fit (customer/ project vetting process) and overall long-term diversification of customer base.

    The Director will be responsible for executing on the strategic sales plan, identifying potential customers and managing the sales funnel by utilizing skills in communication and by applying knowledge of development and manufacturing processes.

    The Director will apply in-depth knowledge of the contract medical device manufacturing industry and a strong understanding of Resolution Medical's capabilities to develop and close new manufacturing and new product introduction (NPI) business.

    The role uses Resolution Medical templates to create detailed, comprehensive estimates (proposals) with inputs from internal engineering and operations colleagues which will then be presented to the customer and aligned on through interactive calls and in person meetings.

    Essential Functions

    Grow Component, Complex Sub-Assembly and Finished Device businesses by identifying new customer opportunities and closing new manufacturing and NPI business.

    Travel to customers' and prospect locations and participate in customer and industry trade shows and events to generate new leads.

    Leverage business and industry knowledge to develop a sales strategy that will achieve Resolution Medical's growth objectives.
    Gather customer requirements, and potential supplier inputs/quotes to then create custom estimates for new/existing customers to WIN new business.
    Present estimates to customer focusing on highlighting RM value and critical inputs / outputs that could affect customers budget and timeline (I.e. Help manage customer's expectations and accepted level of risk - what are the trade-offs).
    Develop meaningful relationships with customers (internal and external) to encourage trust and loyalty.
    Understand and demonstrate RM's value proposition to the customer.
    Understand Resolution Medical growth strategy and set sales goals and objectives set by leadership.
    Develop and update sales forecasts for assigned line of business.

    Have a strong desire to drive business forward through working collaboratively with internal colleagues and external customers and trusted supply partners.

    Use RM estimate templates (development & manufacturing)
    Be highly organized, detail-oriented, with the ability to manage many tasks in various stages of completion.
    Be highly communicative and be comfortable working under pressure from time to time.
    Be strong in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Project or related software for visual timeline creation.
    Report into Vice President, Business Development.

    Work closely, on a day-to-day basis with Business Development, Program Management, Product Development Engineering, Process Development Engineering, Quality, and Operations.

    Support company finance, accounting, human resources, quality, regulatory, and clinical departments as necessary to ensure compliance with requirements.
    Requirements:

    Education, Experience, Required Skills
    Required:

    Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of experience and education.
    7+ years of outside sales experience in the contract medical device manufacturing industry, including estimating, and producing proposals. Specific experience selling manufacturing or NPI required.

    Possess a strong background and depth of knowledge in the product development process, manufacturing process development, and experience with complex catheters, subassemblies, accessories and externals within the medical device industry.

    Experience with Salesforce strongly desired.
    Ability to handle and be trusted with confidential and/or sensitive information.
    Able to work in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment.
    Ability to be flexible and to handle multiple projects in an organized, timely manner.
    Skilled in problem-solving, working under pressure, and effectively managing stress.
    Travel up to 40% may be required.
    Must possess a valid driving license.
    Physical Requirements
    Travel requirement is up to 40%.
    Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
    Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times.
