Monday-Friday,

CXI Trucking has an immediate need for a City Dispatch Supervisor at our Melrose Park, IL facility to manage dispatch operations and assist to coordinate warehouse operations.

Responsibilities will include:

• Delivery Planning for daily deliveries utilizing TMS Software
• Driver and Route Management and Driver Scheduling
• Timely Dispatch of LTL Loads and Linehaul Trucks
• Coordinate Dock Operation with driver schedule's
• Work with the Billing department to Maintain KPII metrics
• Assist with managing truck activity in the terminal and maintenance shop
• Compliance with DOT OSHA and Safety policies
• Other duties as assigned by the Operations Manager

Requirements / Qualifications:

• Candidates must have proven basic leadership experience in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong Organizational / Communication/ and Logistical skills with solid problem-solving abilities.
• Execute all procedures and customer requirements according to SOP
• Handle issues and problems related to the movement of customer product
• Must be able to utilize proprietary and non-proprietary dispatch software
• Flexible, Excellent communication skills, Excellent organizational skills
• Detailed oriented must be able to work quickly, independently and accurately under pressure
• Able to work various hours and overtime to meet the demands of the business
• Able to adhere to professional business casual dress code
• A proven track record in service, attendance, and reliability
• Ability to manage daily issues from large driver pool and a variety of equipment
• Experience in managing operations staff
• Proficient with using Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
• Basic problem solving and organizational skills
• Extensive knowledge of the Chicago metro area
• Prior dispatch experience
• Prior LTL leadership experience is strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of quality freight handling preferred.
• Able to lift 25 pounds

Education and/or Experience

1-3 years similar work experience

Microsoft Office Programs, CLI Software, Cheetah Software

Familiarity with DOT and OSHA regulations

Additional performance-based compensation and a salary base in excess of $60,000.
