Description

The Radiation Therapist performs all aspects of the radiation treatment as prescribed in accordance with the Radiation Oncologist and Duke managed services.

The lead radiation therapist monitors and ensures that all policies and procedures are being followed according to guidelines. Must have experience with Varian radiation systems. Works closely with the manager, director, physics, dosimetrist, and radiation oncologist to maintain continuity of care coordination for patients.

Duties include but are not limited to:
performing CT simulations, oversight of patient and staff schedules, daily radiation treatment, and involvement in continuous improvement committees
