We are seeking someone who wants to make that difference on our Wellness Center as a Health and Wellness Coordinator.
Working under the direction of the Lead Wellness Coordinator, the Health and Wellness Coordinator promotes and enhances health and wellness through individualized and group health programs for employees, patients, and members.
You will assist with projects in the Wellness Center, including tracking and analyzing usage data, health programming for patients, members, and employees, and conducting orientation sessions for individuals using the exercise equipment.
A knowledge of nutritional and exercise planning is helpful as you will assist members with that.Basically, you are supporting and empowering patients, members, and employees throughout the healthcare continuum to include holistic counseling, problem solving barriers to care, assisting patients and employees in setting self-management goals around treatment, medication adherence, healthy lifestyle choices and self-help behaviors.
Non-negotiable requirements for this position include possessing at least an associate degree in a health-related field, able to be certified as a personal trainer, group fitness instructor, or health coach (if not in possession, must have within six months of hire).
Ideally, we'd prefer you to have experience in health coaching, gym or wellness center experience and experience in community health or public health programs.
If you are bi-lingual in Spanish that is a huge plusHours of work for this position will be Monday through Thursday, 9 AM to 6 PM and Fridays, 8 AM to 5 PM.Please see the full job description for more detail to include essential functions.
