    Job Description

    We are looking for an Engineer with a strong background in ultrasound to shape and lead the direction of our new ultrasound imaging platform.

    This is a crucial role in our product design and development process.

    As the Acoustic Engineer, your responsibilities are:
    Acoustic evaluation of transducer performance in state-of-the-art technologies
    Collaborate with the Transducer design team to provide experiment feedback and design improvement insight
    Create experimental setups for investigating transducer performance, configure test sequences within data acquisition systems, and work with the Hardware and Software teams to implement solutions
    Collaborate with the Imaging and Software teams to develop advanced imaging mode capabilities.
    Developing tools for transmit and receive implementation across a variety of platforms

    This position is suited for you if you are familiar with:
    Acoustic experiments that require hardware integration, use of data acquisition systems
    Defining transmit and receive sequences for ultrasound systems
    Working with a multi-disciplinary team to define next-generation devices
    Research and development in ultrasound signal, image, and sensor data processing for unique workflows
    Experimental methods and documentation that support 510K submissions and working under a design control process
    Contributing and thriving in a highly collaborative and interactive development environment


    Required Qualifications:
    Ph.
    D. in

    Electrical/Physics/Biomedical

    Engineering
    Expertise in ultrasound, acoustics, or related field
    Excellent hands-on skills, able to setup and perform experiments in multi-disciplinary laboratory
    Demonstrated experience using MATLAB/Python for fast prototyping
    Excellent oral and written communication skills
    Able to adapt quickly to change and work in a rapidly evolving environment
    Willing to relocate to the St. Louis, MO area
    Willing to travel up to 10%


    Preferred Qualifications:
    Ph.
    D. in

    Electrical/Physics/Biomedical

    engineering with a dissertation topic related to ultrasound imaging or theory
    Ability to use embedded systems within experimental setups
    Direct experience in ultrasound image optimization and system development for general imaging applications (e.g. Abdominal, Small Parts, Musculoskeletal, Vascular, Pediatric, CEUS, and Color Doppler)
