Description
Substance Abuse Specialist Our ACT Substance Abuse Specialist works as part of the ACT team with adults with severe mental illness who experience addiction issues. You will conduct assessments, provide individual and family counseling, case management services, and link clients to community resources, following the treatment plan goals. This position works a team on-call rotation for 1 week every 6-8 weeks and is provided 1 day of PTO for your work/life balance, whether you receive calls or not. We fully equip you through trainings on Initial assessments/evaluations, treatment planning and intervention, documentation, psychopharmacology, reporting regulations for child abuse and neglect, patient rights, and crisis intervention.Perks of this role:
$45,000-$55,000/year

8:30am-4:30am weekday schedule, hours can be flexible to fit your lifestyle What is the ACT Program? Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) was created in the 1970s and is one of the oldest and most widely researched evidence-based practices working with severe mental illness adult clients, ages 25 and older.
By providing person centered assistance including housing, recovery, vocational support, nurse/psychiatrist and therapist services, we enable clients to eventually transition to lower levels of care programs or move toward independence, increasing their quality of life.
Clients may include adults with a history of trauma, homelessness, frequent hospital stays, refugees, and clients who have not responded well to traditional outpatient care.
What we are looking for:
Licensed as LPC, LCSW, LPC-S, BAC-S, LMSW, CSW, or PLPC
2 years or more of professional experience providing services to persons with serious mental illness
Personal Substance recovery or professional work experience with this population, preferred
