Job Description:
As a Hood Cleaning Technician at FlameShield Hoods, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and functionality of commercial kitchen exhaust systems. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Cleaning and degreasing kitchen hoods, ductwork, and exhaust fans.
- Inspecting and assessing the condition of equipment for necessary repairs or maintenance.
- Adhering to safety protocols and guidelines while working at various client locations.
- Utilizing equipment and cleaning products effectively to maintain cleanliness and compliance.
- Completing service reports and documentation as required.
- Collaborating with team members and supervisors to deliver outstanding service.
- Work mostly at night after facilities are closed.
- Always follow safety protocol on roofs and ladders.
- Always handle, transport and store chemicals in a safe manner.
- Able to interact professionally with restaurant management and staff.
- Keep truck and equipment clean and well-organized.
- Arrive to scheduled appointments on time.
Requirements:
- Prior experience in commercial kitchen hood cleaning or a related field is a plus, but we will train the right candidate.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to carry 50 lbs., climb ladders.
- Capable of working from heights.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to safety.
- Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused mindset.
- Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Must have U.S. work authorization.
Schedule:
Flexible hours. Hood cleaning services are typically performed during off-peak hours, such as evenings, overnight, and weekends, to minimize disruption to our clients' operations.
Pay:
Competitive above industry average hourly wage, commensurate with experience.
