    Apex Legends is looking for a creative Lead UX Designer to help shape the future of our game. You'll work on designing new features and interactive flows from early concepts through to release. While helping manage and grow other UX designers on the team.
    If you have experience developing streamlined interaction systems for games and you are familiar with the live service model, we are looking for youWhat You'll Do...ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with, and take direction from, the Experience Design Director and feature stakeholders to take important UX-heavy features from concept to completion on a large projectWork with other designers and engineers, to understand and determine UX goals for new and evolving featuresIndependently design solutions: concepts, wireframes, and prototypes while iterating based on your research, team feedback, and user feedbackCreate process flows, wireframes, and visual design mockups to conceptualize and communicate detailed interaction behaviors for multiple environments and audiencesBuild rapid prototypes for iterative design, ensuring they make for the best possible player experienceDocument and promote awareness of UX standards, and push to improve UX design workflow processesQualifications3+ years of experience in UX design1+ year of management experienceShipped at least 1 game or large-scale non-game project, in a UX design rolePassion for user-centered design, and a fascination for understanding how users experience a productProficient in user experience design tools (e.g. Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, Adobe XD, Axure, or Omnigraffle)Understand the importance of documentation and teaching othersEnjoy creative problem-solving, and value respectful feedback processesBroad taste in gamesValuable Additional SkillsExperience developing UX for AAA games, multiplayer games, live service games or FPS genreUnderstand interaction design on console, pc and mobileDegree in Interaction Design, Psychology, Human Factors, Industrial Engineering or related HCI disciplineNext StepsAs part of the application process, we may ask you to complete a practical work exercise.     US COMPENSATION AND BENEFITSThe base salary ranges listed below are for the defined geographic market pay zones in these states.

    Salary offered will be determined based on numerous relevant business and candidate factors including, for example, education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, and business or organizational needs.


    BASE SALARY RANGES

    • California (depending on location e.g. Los Angeles vs.

    Sacramento):
    o $131,600 - $213,300

    • New York (depending on location e.g. Manhattan vs.

    Buffalo):
    o $131,600 - $213,300

    Jersey City, NJ:
    o $154,800 - $213,300

    • Colorado (depending on location e.g. Denver vs.

    Colorado Springs):
    o $131,600 - $179,600

    • Washington (depending on location e.g. Seattle vs.

    Spokane):
    o $131,600 - $195,200Base salary is just one part of the overall compensation at EA.

    We also offer a package of benefits including paid time off (3 weeks per year to start), 80 hours per year of sick time, 16 paid company holidays per year, 10 weeks paid time off to bond with baby (following 1 year of service), medical/dental/vision insurance, life insurance, disability insurance, and 401(k) to regular full-time employees.

    Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and equity.
