JOB SUMMARY

Under general supervision, performs a variety of activities in the use of electrical devices and energy for commercial, domestic, and industrial use. Works directly with engineers in other disciplines to augment production capacity and value.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design, maintain, implement, and improve electrical assemblies, electrical enclosure design, or electrical systems
• Performs a wide range of engineering duties including the use of CAD software-Confers with customers, designers, production employees, project managers, estimating, to ensure the success of the project-Ensures the compliance with specifications, electrical codes, or any other customer requirements
• Prepares specifications or quotes for purchases of materials or equipment or sub-vendor operations-Estimates material, labor, or construction costs occasionally for electrical equipment-Assist in training new electrical designer employees
• Reviews and ensures the electrical drawings on each project are accurate and meet customer expectations for each project.
• Will need to be proficient in electrical codes mainly NEC
• There will be minimal but some design in controls, hvac controls, and PLC-Will be responsible in helping with improving engineering processes and designer efficiencies
• Familiarity or certification in UL508A (Industrial Control

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelors degree required.
• 2 to 4 years of experience required.
• Or equivalent combination of education and experience.
