    We are seeking a dynamic and experienced salesperson to bring in new business and to build relationships with new customers in the greater Portland, OR area.

    Days will be spent working on projects and processes that will increase Stellar's market share and gross margin in the Pacific Northwest.

    This is a great opportunity for a strong business development representative who thrives in consultative sales and has some knowledge of industrial products.

    The position requires travel to support other branches, sales meetings, factory training and conferences.

    Summary of Key ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
    Manages an assigned sales territory, establishing new customers and expanding our current customer baseDevelop a pipeline of customer prospects through networking, referrals, research and cold calling, utilizing our CRM (Proton AI)Grow profitable market share by presenting value-added service, keeping current with information on competitive products, customer machinery and processesImproves territory performance through increased sales and gross marginsConduct sales and service activities, develop strong customer relationships, identify product applications, and introduce new products and servicesPromotes and maintains effective working relationships with customers and suppliersUtilizes vendor representatives to help develop accounts and territory, establishing repeat joint callsIdentifies and evaluates new customers, market conditions, opportunities, prospects and competitive pressuresRecommend and implement actions to maximize sales, increase margins, and expand market shareAlways look for ways to provide value to our customers, documenting cost savings and reporting back to the customerRecords account, contacts, joint calls, and sales activitiesCollaborate with local customer experience team on how to provide the best servicePerforms other duties as requiredQualificationsRequired Knowledge, Skills and AbilitiesRelationship-building skills at all levels with customers and prospect organizationsAbility to sell value versus pricePassion for helping people solve dynamic problemsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsGreat planning and organizational skillsAbility to quickly learn new processes and systems; analytical skillsProficient using latest technology (CRM, smartphone, laptop)Proficient with MS OfficeWillingness to work irregular schedule as necessaryDisplay a consistent positive, can-do attitudeValid driver license and satisfactory driving record is requiredExperience5+ years proven B2B sales experience in developing new business, building repeat business and managing a sales territoryProven track record of growth in outside salesIndustrial tool experience or mechanical/technical aptitude is a plusEducationHigh school diploma or equivalent
