Assignment Duration: 8 Weeks
Compensation: $24/hour

Schedule:

Monday: 8:00–4:30 
Tuesday: 9:00–5:30 
Wednesday: 8:00–4:30 
Thursday: 9:00–5:30 
Friday: 8:00–4:30 

Position Overview


A healthcare facility in Albert Lea, MN is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to support both front and back office operations. This role is integral to ensuring smooth patient flow, clinical support, and maintaining collaborative relationships with the healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet and room patients efficiently

  • Assist with scheduling and answer phone calls

  • Record vital signs and patient information

  • Draw blood and perform phlebotomy/venipuncture procedures

  • Administer vaccines as required

  • Provide additional clinical support as needed

  • Maintain effective communication and collaboration with staff

  • Support patient education and outreach initiatives

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year of medical assistant experience (in addition to externship)

  • Medical Assistant Certification strongly preferred

  • Occupational Health experience preferred

  • Experience with Phlebotomy/venipuncture and Electronic Medical Records (EMR) required

  • Strong attention to detail and effective communication skills

  • Proficiency with computers and healthcare software

  • Commitment to patient-centered care and health education

Experience Level

  • 2–3 years total healthcare experience preferred
