Job Overview:
FAR Group is looking for a successful and detail-oriented individual to join
our team as an 'advanced practice provider'. The candidate should have all
the relevant education and experiences to perform the duties effectively
and efficiently, and his responsibilities include the duties mentioned in this
Job Description.
Qualifications:
• License - The Contractor's Advance Practice Provider(s) assigned by the
Contractor to perform the services covered by this contract shall have a
current license to practice medicine in any State, Territory, or
Commonwealth of the United States or the District of Columbia) when
services are performed onsite on VA property and will be submitted at
time of offers due.
• BLS and ACLS Certification - All contractor's Advance Practice Provider(s)
must be certified in BLS and ACLS.
• Technical Proficiency - Advance Practice Provider(s) shall be technically
proficient in the skills necessary, including the ability to speak,
understand, read and write English fluently.
• Experience - Each of the contractor's Nurse Practitioner or Physician
Assistant providers must have 'at least 3-5 years of recent experience
providing emergency medical care.
• Continuing Medical Education (CME)/ Certified Education Unit (CEU)
Requirements - Advance Practice Provider(s) registered or certified by
national/medical associations shall continue to meet the minimum
standards for CME to remain current.
• Training (ACLS, BLS, EHR and VA MANDATORY) - Contractor shall meet all
VA educational requirements and mandatory course requirements defined
herein; all training must be completed by the contractor's Advance
Practice Provider(s) as required by the VA. Advance Practice Provider(s)
must be certified in BLS and ACLS.
Responsibilities and Duties:
• Conducting comprehensive patient assessments, including medical
history, physical examination, and diagnostic tests.
• Diagnosing and treating acute and chronic medical conditions.
• Prescribing medications, therapies, and other treatments based on the
patient's diagnosis.
• Developing and implementing care plans for patients with complex
medical needs.
• Ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, such as laboratory tests and
imaging studies.
• Providing patient education on disease prevention, health promotion,
and self-care management.
• Collaborating with other healthcare providers, such as physicians,
nurses, and social workers, to deliver comprehensive patient care.
• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date medical records for all patients.
• Participating in quality improvement activities to ensure safe and
effective patient care
