Midtown Center for Health and Rehab is seeking a dependable and compassionate Van Driver to join our team
This vital role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact every day by safely transporting residents to medical appointments, outings, and essential services while providing exceptional support and care. As a Van Driver, you will be more than just transportation — you will be a trusted part of our residents' daily lives, helping them maintain their independence, dignity, and connection to the community. Your professionalism, reliability, and positive attitude will help create a safe, comfortable, and reassuring experience for every resident you serve.
In this role, you will transport residents to and from appointments and assist with direct resident care duties under the supervision of licensed nursing personnel, as needed. You will also help foster a compassionate physical and psychosocial environment, ensuring residents feel supported, respected, and valued at all times.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with others, takes pride in providing excellent service, and wants to be part of a team dedicated to enhancing the lives of those we serve.
Job Requirements:
- Valid driver's license with F-Endorsement required
- Clean driving record with a strong commitment to safety
- Effective verbal and written communication skills in English
- Demonstrates the highest level of professionalism and maintains strict confidentiality
- Ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, staff, and leadership at all levels
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to remain calm and professional under pressure
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities
- Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while exercising sound judgment
- Demonstrates initiative, flexibility, and adaptability in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to learn new tasks quickly, even without detailed written procedures
- Maintains personal integrity, dependability, and accountability in all responsibilities
- Ability to work collaboratively with team members, residents, families, and external partners
Qualifications:
- Valid driver's license with required F-Endorsement
- Clean driving record
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Professional, dependable, and detail-oriented
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and follow safety procedures
