Description

Manufacturing Engineer

As a member of a skilled and accomplished team, you will be involved in creating an efficient manufacturing system for cutting-edge space launch vehicles. Your role will include collaborating with manufacturing and facilities teams, leading manufacturing processes utilizing Lean techniques, and working alongside welding engineers, automation engineers, and operators to tackle complex challenges related to process implementation and monitoring.

We are looking for individuals who are passionate about space exploration and are eager to learn and develop continuously. This role plays a crucial part in shaping the future of space exploration and demands dedicated commitment and attention to detail for safe and efficient spaceflight.

Job Responsibilities:

Lead manufacturing-related projects
Drive operations improvement including ergonomic and human factors, operations and capacity planning, and production support
Identify and prioritize process improvement projects
Facilitate system integration

Main Responsibilities:

Conduct time-motion studies in the field
Perform data analysis for operational improvements
Assist in troubleshooting and problem-solving based on study observations
Develop queries and reports for tracking operating performance
Adhere to Environmental, Health & Safety policies and procedures
Contribute to consolidating and validating industrial engineering models

Qualifications:

BS in Operations Research, Industrial, Manufacturing, or Mechanical Engineering
Minimum 4 years of manufacturing experience
Experience in factory flow, process modeling, and simulation
Proficiency in data analytics and Excel
Excellent Interpersonal Communication Skills
Self-Starter with strong analytical skills
Must meet U.S. citizenship/residency requirements

Desired Qualifications:

Experience in Operations or Construction Management
Project Management or Six Sigma Certification
Hands-on experience with materials and manufacturing processes
