Are you looking to join a team where your ideas matter and you can make a real impact? We are seeking a Procurement Specialist for a direct opportunity located in Van Buren Township. This is a chance to be part of an exciting program that is just kicking off and is expected to run for several years. The ideal candidate should have 7-10 years of procurement experience and must be eligible to work in the US.

Responsibilities:
- Play a key role in supporting New Product Introduction and Consultancy projects within the Performance Products business unit, which focuses on providing specialized powertrain products to premium brand customers.
- Manage the procurement process for purchased parts from concept to series production for assigned suppliers and projects.

Lead the industrialization of the supply chain for a new product line.
Select suppliers from a complex global supply base.
Coordinate supply chain activities between suppliers, clients, and Engineering/project teams.
Create purchasing and inventory reports, bid proposals, RFQ's, and tender documents.
Conduct competitive bidding, negotiate prices, and track cost-reduction achievements.
Collaborate with suppliers and Engineering teams on design feasibility, order expediting, and issue resolution.
Negotiate and evaluate contracts with domestic and international suppliers.
Implement MRP/EDI system and ensure integration.
Assess supplier capability to meet cost, quality, and timing requirements.
Provide detailed reports to senior leadership.
Achieve internal and external targets on cost, delivery, and quality.

Qualifications:

Must hold a Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
Ten years of procurement experience.
Knowledge of material work planning and manufacturing methods.
Experience in warehouse and inventory control.
Effective negotiation skills and ability to influence.
Strong problem-solving, analytical, and listening skills.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Excellent multitasking skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.
