Pay Range:
$16.05 hourly/$33,384.00 annually

ILLUSTRATIVE DUTIES
Performs semi-skilled maintenance and repair work. Assists Fleet management staff workers (i.e. technicians, replacement coordinator, administration staff), as assigned, in general repair duties.
Acts as a helper to Fleet operations and maintenance personnel in performing general maintenance and repair duties, and vehicle preparation.
Performs physical labor work related to Fleet maintenance. Trades Helper may, from time to time, be assigned general housekeeping, site maintenance and vehicle upkeep.Performs related work as required.
KNOWLEDGE, ABILITIES AND SKILLS
Knowledge of the materials, methods, practices and equipment used in the installation, repair and maintenance of facilities. Ability to learn the general practices and procedures of Fleet operations. Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions. Ability to perform a variety of manual work in all weather conditions. Ability to establish and maintain an effective working relationship with other employees. Ability to learn occupational hazards and safety precautions of the trade.
Ability to perform tasks that require eye and hand coordination. Ability to see colors. Ability to see, ambulate independently, drive, climb, bend, stoop, sit, and stand.
Ability and agility to perform various job duties in all weather conditions including lifting and/or interacting with job related equipment which might weigh in excess of forty-five (45) pounds.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Graduate of an accredited high school or possess an acceptable equivalency diploma and have some experience in one or more of the building/mechanical/electrical trades.
Must possess a valid driver's license and be able to secure a valid Florida driver's license at the time of employment.
A comparable amount of related training and experience may be substituted for the minimum qualifications with the exception of licensure.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
This position may be required to report for work when a declaration of emergency has been declared in Polk County.
