At Xylem, you will have the opportunity to solve water by participating in our paid Volunteer Program, Xylem Watermark THE ROLE: The Master Scheduler is responsible to plan manufactured product groups and subassemblies, to optimize fulfillment of customer orders and inventory control, maintain customer schedule dates (plant OTP). This function will be responsible for defining, analyzing and maintaining the plant-wide planning parameters in MRP, including forecasting and supporting inventory processes for materials management. CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:To perform the job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
    • Tactical support of the Sales, Inventory, Operations Planning (SIOP) Process, including working with customer service to ensure customer needs are met.
    • Maintain responsible businesses supply planning models in collaboration with Sales, Marketing, and Operations.
    • Participate in the development of the process and system changes necessary to enhance SIOP performance
    • Responsible for meeting inventory projections, KPI Gross Inventory and turns
    • Oversee part by part analysis of all inventory items assigned by product.
    • Critical team member on MRP/ERP improvement projects.
    • Direct control over plant OTP performance for assigned products.
    • Oversee OTD analysis and planning to meet goals and objectives
    • Collaborate with cross functional teams to meet Xylem's order fulfillment and inventory objectives
    • Create production schedule using MRP system per planned demand, distribute Production Shop Orders.
    • Coordinates schedule with the supervisor for capacity planning, material availability.
    • Monitors and maintains Customer schedule dates for configure to order requirements and nonstock requirements.
    • Communicates actual and potential part shortages to planner-buyers through various communication channels.
    • Maintain MRP master data for assigned items to optimize MRP system planning and functionality.
    • Participates in various Lean activities including Kaizen Events and 5-S teams.
    • Work directly with Inventory team to support E&O reduction, scheduling material rework, minimize scrap.
    • Track and escalate requirements that will miss OTD or OTP to customer order.
    • Work directly with engineering and Product Line Managers on new product launches and product changes.
    • Other duties and Projects as assigned.
    QUALIFICATIONS:
    • Excellent communication skills.
    • Microsoft software, strong excel and MRP experience.
    • Minimum of 5 years' experience in production planning or master scheduling
    • Bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent total experience.
    DAY IN THE LIFE: In this role, the working environment is an office environment with occasional exposure to noise and fumes. SALARY: The estimated salary range for this position is $60,000 to $75,000 plus bonus. Starting pay is dependent on multiple factors, such as skills, experience and work location, and is not typically at the top of the range.
