    The Lead is responsible for handling daily operations in the specific department of the window warehouse/manufacturing. This role will be assisting the Warehouse Supervisor/Manager in tasks such as training, coaching, mentoring, and developing new and existing employees, assisting with the day-to-day operation, performing daily inventory accuracy, and adhering to the company and department policies and procedures. Direct the flow of materials for optimal productivity while maintaining levels of quality, accuracy of inventory, and safety of employees.

    Essential Functions:

    • Comply withBoral Safety Policies.
    • Regular attendance, timeliness and scheduling flexibility.
    • Provide safety leadership in promoting and creating a zero-injury safety culture.
    • Provide leadership and direction to the window warehouse team.
    • Maintain a clean and efficient warehouse.
    • Pulling and staging orders for each company delivery truck.
    • Perform rotating duties as assigned on a daily basis.
    • Ensure that all warehouse personnel follow policies and procedures for inventory-handling.
    • Direct warehouse personnel as necessary.
    • Oversee daily operations.
    • Maintain a clean and orderly work area to ensure facility meets department.

    EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

    The employee should have the following:

    • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
    • Computer and software experience.
    • Previous experience in warehousing.
    • Must have great organization, communications and time management skills.

    ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT

    The employee should possess the ability to:

    • Be exposed to temperature extremes inside or out.
    • Be exposed to sounds or noise levels that maybe uncomfortable.
    • Prolong standing for up to 12 hours performing shift work or in a stationary position.
    • Complete repetitive movements.
    • Bend or twist.
    • Wear all required personal protective equipment.
    • Work in constant noise above 85 decibels.
    • Handle, control or feel objects, tools or controls.
    • Lift/move up to 50 pounds.
    • Remove or replace items up to 50 pounds.
    • Ascend or descend stairs.
