Network Security Manager - Reston, United States - Inmarsat Government

Description

The Network Security Manager (NSM) will support the Inmarsat Government Cyber team with meeting operational security objectives by applying gained expertise to a variety of information and network technologies.

This position plays a critical role in achieving the goal of enforcing our corporate Cyber posture to ensure ongoing secure operations.

The NSM will work with internal business units to understand system requirements, provide security recommendations, and implement solutions to ensure security.

Position Responsibilities

Lead efforts to improve security on terrestrial networksProvide subject matter expertise on topics including securing cloud environments, risk management, emerging threats, and Cyber protection technologiesAnalyze and improve existing organizational security tactics and proceduresCollaborate with Engineering departments to examine attack vectors and implement preventative controlsPrepare and present technical reports / briefings related to internal and customer security initiativesUnderstand and implement the technical and procedural requirements associated with Classified enclavesLeader within a Cyber program that promotes excellent communication, resourcefulness, dedication, and responsibilityPosition Requirements

Positive attitude and highly motivatedDemonstrated experience working with networking products and technologiesAdvanced knowledge of firewall technologiesAn understanding of adversarial networking attack tactics and mitigative actionsAbility to effectively apply security to the system engineering processExperience with policy creation and process applicationActive SECRET clearanceCyber certification (CISSP, CCNP Security, CCSP)Preferred Skills & Knowledge

Experience with DoD / ICActive TOP SECRET clearanceHistory of working within classified environmentsExperience ensuring systems meet RMF standardsUnderstanding of PKI management systems
