- Collaborate, plan, coordinate and execute New Product Introductions.
- Manage activities, schedules, resources, budgets, and clearly communicate to a cross-functional team consisting of manufacturing engineers, quality engineers, materials, and production through the process of new implementations.
- Provide complex advisory support in the design, fabrication, modification and evaluation of manufacturing operations.
- Conceive and plan projects involving major production activities, exploration of product and/or process problems, and the definition and selection of new concepts and approaches in manufacturing operations.
- Conduct independent technical investigations involving the application of complex technical principles.
- Evaluate test and production data, prepare technical analysis, and recommend manufacturing methods and processes required to meet design objectives on new or improved products and/or processes.
- Coordinate complex technical matters relating to assembly drawing interpretation, Engineering Change Notices, rework, and manufacturing difficulties and specifications.
- Serve as a liaison with other areas to secure specialized resources and contributions for the project.
- Select and manage the activities of contractors to ensure they are integrated into the project and the organization receives satisfactory standards of service.
- Conduct project meetings and prepare reports to communicate project status within and beyond the project team
- As needed, participate in or lead various projects that may involve manufacturing capacity, cost out initiatives, productivity or other business objectives
- Be the lead advocate for product design optimization for manufacturing, which requires extensive product knowledge of all platforms
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering
- 5+ years of engineering experience in a manufacturing setting
- Must be familiar with or possess the ability to obtain familiarity with all assembly and fabrication processes at all residential facilities in order to provide input for design/manufacturing optimization
- Detail oriented to effectively track project schedules and capital spending
