The Facilities Services & Planning ("FS&P") division plays a key role in helping Stanford Health Care accomplish this mission. With a fast-paced, tech-savvy and lean culture that focuses on goals, metrics and continuous improvement, FS&P provides non-clinical operational support to Stanford Health Care and other Stanford Medicine entities to ensure safe and successful non-clinical operations 24/7 and plan for the organization's future facility needs.

A Brief Overview
The Electrician installs, repairs, and maintains electrical equipment, electrical wiring, laboratory equipment, motors,
heating devices, and other hospital electrical apparatus.

What you will do

• Checks all lighting in and around Medical Center buildings on a regular basis. Turns off systems for energy conservation.
• Installation and maintenance of electrical wiring and switch gears, fuses, lighting fixtures, heating devices, motors and other hospital electrical apparatuses. Changes existing locations and conditions, conforming to the national and local codes and with local licensing practices.
• Installs new electrical and allied equipment; Installs new laboratory equipment upon request (i.e., incubating or sterilizing equipment). Repairs, maintains or builds special laboratory equipment.
• May perform lamp maintenance under group lamp replacement program. May change electrical apparatus from AC to CD or vice versa. And wires all transformers for any voltage connections.
• Repairs such equipment as patient beds, exhaust fans, fire doors, patient call lights and pillow speaker units, intercom systems, parking lot auto gates and lights, alarm systems, etc.
• Replaces fuses, breakers and other protective devices, while maintaining knowledge of their functions.
• Replaces light bulbs as needed and/or makes necessary repairs on various types of electrical cords; cleans fixtures on a regular basis.

Education Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent

Experience Qualifications

• Two (2) years of progressively responsible and directly related work experience

Base Pay Scale: Generally starting at $ $51.73 per hour

The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty and training. This pay scale is not a promise of a particular wage.
