• Thursday Job PurposeFabricate models and prototype parts to support new product development engineering teams.

Build, repair, and maintain jigs, fixtures, dies, gauges, and tools for manufacturing operations.

Essential DutiesRead and understand blueprintsProgram and operate CNC machinesTransform complicated drawings and sketches into partsPerform hand-fitting operationsBuild multiple parts holding toolsWork with engineers and support groups on machine requirements that could affect the quality and cost of prototypes being builtWork from sketches and information from engineers as necessaryInspect work to assure parts conform to blueprintsMaintain safety procedures for self and end usersMust be willing to move to other machines as neededOther duties as assignedEducation/Certifications/Experience High School Diploma or equivalent2 year technical school degree in Machine Tool or Tool and DieMinimum 4 years of CNC machine tool operation and programming experience, combined with milling and turning machines Minimum 7 years experience as a Model and Tool and Die Maker with a wide range of machine use and project varietyTraining in Measurement Skills for Manufacturing, Math for Machinists, Blue Print Reading for Machinists, Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing IIISkills/Abilities/CompetenciesPrevious CNC operating programming experienceMust be able to inspect complex parts, read and understand complicated drawings, and have advanced math and precision measuring instruments (both English and metric)Ability to apply Graco standards and geometric tolerancing and dimensioningExperience preforming prove-outs, preprods, reprocessing, and cost savingsAbility to establish and manage project hours and materialsAbility to work independentlyGood interpersonal, written, and oral communicationsAbility to plan and execute directionsStrong problem solving and troubleshooting skillsStrong PC skillsPhysical requirements Must be able to lift up to 45 poundsAbility to stand for the course of the shiftAbility to bend, push/pull, stoop, walkAbility to perform repetitive motion of arms, fingers, handsGood eye/hand coordinationReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of the position Power to BeAt Graco, the Power to Be means providing the support, resources and freedom to pave your own way.
