    Description

    Our client, a nationwide manufacturer of creative products, has an immediate need for an experienced Flexo Press Operator, to join our winning team in Norcross.

    Our candidate of choice will have prior experience operating a Flexo printing press.


    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
    Tasked with setting up and operating a flexographic printing press.

    Responsible for adjusting the speed of the press, mounting the printing plates and cylinders into the printing press, and filling the dye font with ink.

    Operators feed the flexographic press with the material that is going to be printed on, so they can lift boxes of materials that can weigh at least 10 pounds and weigh over 100 pounds.

    Must be able to read job orders that gives them specific instructions on what the printing should look like. The flexo press operator is responsible for producing the entire printing job correctly. The operator is also responsible for cleaning the work area that surrounds the printer.
    Additional responsibilities as requested by my manager.


    KEY REQUIREMENTS:
    A minimum of 5 years of demonstrated, proven industry experience.
    Written and oral communication style and skills appropriate for different stake holders.
    BA/BS in Graphic Communications.
    Deep understanding of flexography, offset, and digital printing.

    Creative problem solving for artwork/plate related production issues and innovative ways to realize boundary challenging art for new specialty paint labels.

    Written and oral communication style and skills appropriate for different stake holding departments and teams.
    Ability to work on several priorities simultaneously.

    Ability to grow and stay current with technology and processes; particularly in regards to technology and processes associated with efficiency through automation.

    Ability to work on several priorities simultaneously.
    Adobe Creative Cloud Expertise with InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, and Acrobat.
    Expert knowledge of creating production artwork and platemaking.
    Proficient in Office, Word, and Excel.
