    JOB SUMMARY:

    Under supervision form the Electrical Utilities Associate Director, the Electrical Distribution Systems Engineer is responsible for maintaining and updating all electrical distribution control and monitoring systems, utility operational technology (OT) cyber-security, outside lighting control systems, traffic control systems, electrical metering systems, and systems historical databases. Performs other duties as assigned.

    JOB DUTIES:

    30% - Essential - Electrical Distribution SCADA System Maintenance and Operations.
    Operate, monitor, and maintain the campuswide utility electrical distribution system computerized digital control network . Monitor, troubleshoot, repair and upgrade system network hardware, software, firmware, and databases. Schedule and inspect annual maintenance contract services and upgrades. Manages and works with CCIT on reviews and audits of system cyber-security and updates. Provide technical support for HV Shop personnel on system operation and control. Develop and provide scheduled and requested system data reports.

    20% - Essential - Electrical Metering Systems Installation, Maintenance and Operations
    Integrate new electrical meters into meter monitoring systems. Monitor, troubleshoot, repair, and upgrade system network hardware, software, firmware and databases. Develop and provide scheduled and requested metering data reports. Provide analysis of disturbance alarm reports for troubleshooting power quality issues on campus. Develop and maintain reports for electrical distribution system capacity planning.

    20% - Essential - Develop and maintain electrical distribution system analysis and GIS databases on the campus electrical distribution systems. Develop and maintain reporting tools to track electrical system maintenance, repair, and replacement needs. Provide reports for planning and budgeting these needs.

    15% - Essential - Traffic Control Signals Installation, Maintenance and Operations
    Monitor and maintain the campus traffic control signals. Monitor, troubleshoot, repair and upgrade traffic signal cabinet controllers, load switches, vehicle detection devices and conflict monitors. Adjust traffic signal timings and coordination settings as needed for in and out of session vehicle and pedestrian traffic demand changes. Schedule and inspect annual maintenance contract services and upgrades.

    15% - Essential - Facilities Critical Systems Support, Integration and Cyber-security:
    Provide system integration and information sharing support between various campus utilities control systems including Building Automation systems and Waste Water Treatment Plant SCADA. Manage and provide cyber-security and technical support for campus utilities automation and control systems for Utility Services industrial OT systems such as Delta-V, Wonderware, SEL and local PLC control devices and Protection System Relays.

    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

    Education - Bachelor's Degree - Information technology systems, computer science, or related field and experience in information technology systems or related area.

    PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:

    Work Experience: 3+ years in electrical utilities or industrial environment.

    WORK SCHEDULE:

    Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm. Standard Hours: 37.5
    Expected Salary Range: ($ 60, $ 75,000.00)

    Required to follow emergency facility closure directives, and not normally expected work on-site during emergency situations.
