Summary

As a Lead Barista, you are an important point of contact during our guest stay and dining experiences. You will engage with guests at our cafe style restaurant, and coffee carts where you will craft coffee drinks, process transactions, run food and beverages, and support the entire operation as needed. Your goal is to provide quality beverages and stellar service ensuring our guests have everything they need for an enjoyable experience. We cater to a diverse range of guests including groups, families, and individuals varying in age, interests, and with various degrees of comfort in outdoor elements. This is a seasonal, hourly position that includes a housing option for the duration of employment.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for covering and working as a barista and all duties assigned to the barista position
• Order food and beverage from vendors, receive orders, stock and organize, keep inventory, input invoices based on policy and procedure
• Complete and ensure all safety policy, procedure, and state regulation are compliant and upheld
• Train team members as needed on the barista role, responsibilities, and safety regulations
• Cheerfully greet and serve guests, answer questions about beverage and menu offerings, provide recommendations, and process transactions accurately in a timely manner
• Learn and share your knowledge of menu and beverage offerings, local culture, and on-site activities
• Collaborate and interact professionally with guests, restaurant team, and other department co-workers
• Demonstrate the ability to problem solve independently or in collaboration with your team and/or supervisor
• Actively maintain guest safety by following all food safety, sanitation, and responsible alcohol service protocols
• Your passion for the food and beverage industry combined with your commitment to delivering high quality beverages and service will be critical as you help contribute to memorable experiences
• Other duties as assigned

Preferred Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED
• Food Handler certification and TIPs card
  • Must be obtained within two weeks of start of employment
• Minimum of 1 season of Barista experience
• Experience with POS systems
• Attention to detail
• Service focus
• Teamwork

Additional Information

• Ability to work outdoors for long periods of time, including during extreme heat and cold or weather events
• Ability to lift 30lbs independently; all lifts over 31 lbs. require assistance from a co-worker
• Able to stand and move for long periods of time
• This position is contingent upon the satisfactory completion of a motor vehicle records check, if requested by Under Canvas.
