IT Technician (SOC)

Elite Contracting Group is seeking IT Technicians to join our Service
Operations Center (SOC) in Petersburg, Virginia. Elite Contracting Group is one of

Responsibilities:
Answer incoming service calls
Manage service tickets
Provide troubleshooting support related to software, desktops, services, network
devices, and security and CCTV camera systems
Perform other duties as assigned


Minimum Qualifications:
Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to fully resolve issues
Basic network knowledge including configuration and troubleshooting of
routers/switches/wireless/firewalls/LAN/WAN
Helpdesk experience supporting customers or employees in an IT role
Experience working with vendors and help lines resolving issues
One or more industry recognized certifications or equivalent formal
training/education
Remote troubleshooting, monitoring, and diagnostic tools
Strong organizational skills and the ability to communicate effectively


Preferred Qualifications:
Hands on Experience with physical security systems, PACS, VMS, Access
Control, Cameras, and Security software
Experience configuring and maintaining Servers
Have used a major ticketing system to manage support incidents
Virtualization and cloud technologies (AWS/Azure/VMWARE)
Basic programming or script experience (SQL, HTML, Python, Java)


Physical Requirements:
Must be able to sit for prolonged periods of time
Must be able to stand, walk, and bend


Additional Requirements:
Must possess and maintain a satisfactory background record
