    Ormond Manor, a small boutique style memory care community in Ormond Beach is Immediately hiring for 6 am - 2pm and 10 pm- 6 am shifts. Experienced caregiver with emphasis on keeping residents engaged in meaningful activities. Ensure safety of residents, assist with activities of daily living, assist in meal service, monitor and address residents' personal needs.

    Education and/or Experience: Ability to read, write, speak clearly, and follow written and oral instructions in English. Experience in resident care preferred.

    Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Must meet the requirements indicated on the Employee Documentation Grid. Must successfully complete training listed on the Required Training Grid and any additional training as required by Federal, State, and local requirements.

    Other Skills and Abilities: Must be aware of and understand the needs of the elderly. Must be able to recognize unusual behavior or physical condition of residents. Must be thoroughly familiar with all Community policies and procedures. Must be able to communicate effectively in writing as well as verbally in English. Ability to interact effectively with residents, their families and other staff members and guests. Must have the ability to effectively understand and utilize community electronic care programs and technology.

    Work Environment: Constant standing, walking, turning, bending, stooping, pushing and/or lifting. Responsible for keeping a clean and neat work area.

    Primary Functions and Responsibilities: You will be evaluated on your ability to perform these functions and responsibilities competently with minimal supervision and/or reminders. Additional duties may be added to meet the needs of the community.

    *At the beginning, middle and end of each shift, read all notes in the resident care software since the employee's last shift.

    *Timely report any resident problems, concerns or illness requiring attention to the DON or Executive Director, as necessary.

    *Document completed care tasks, and notes.

    *Ensures coordination and implementation of the resident care plan with food service, activities, and care.

    *Ensures safety of residents through appropriate behavioral interventions and reports any inappropriate interventions to their immediate supervisor or Executive Director.

    *Assists residents with activities of daily living as required, including, but not limited to dressing, grooming, bathing, toileting, escorting and reminding residents of appointments.

    *Encourages residents to participate in activities.

    *Assists in activities, meal service and snacks as assigned by the DON or Executive Director.

    *Assists new residents upon move-in and orients them to Community, staff, other residents, and routines.

    Monitors and addresses residents personal needs.

    Ensures appropriate/timely response to resident concerns.

    Completes all required forms timely, inclusive of but noy limited to Incident Reports, Medication Appointments, Medication Sign-out Sheets, etc.

    *Respond to emergency call alerts in an appropriate timeframe.

    *Demonstrates knowledge of resident care and its impact on residents and their families.

    *Maintain confidentiality of resident/community information.

    *Responsible for the safety of residents under your supervision.

    *Follow established performance standards and perform duties according to resident care policies and procedures.

    *Receives/stays with current with Medication Certification Training.

    *Assists residents with self-administration of medications.

    *Is constantly aware of cleanliness and appearance or Resident Care areas and assists to clean areas of immediate concern.

    *Observe infection control procedures and correct if needed. Report concerns of outbreaks to Care Leadership timely.

    *Know the location and operation of all fire and emergency equipment located in the general work area. Know evacuation routes and exits in work area.

    *Welcome all guests and visitors of the community with a smile within 10 feet and verbally greet within 5 feet.

    *Perform and complete all duties assigned in an effective, timely and professional manner.

    *Report to work on time as scheduled; consistently demonstrates dependability and punctuality; dressed in neat, clean attire according to uniform policy.

    *Maintain a professional attitude and consistently work cooperatively with resident, families, supervisors, co-workers, and ancillary service providers.

    *Understand and effectively utilize all community care and other community technology and software.

    *Understand and follow all company policies including the Employee Handbook.

    *Attend all educational programs to improve skills and knowledge inclusive of Community meeting, in-service training sessions and serve on committees as required.

    *Knowledge and ability to implement comprehensive emergency management plan (CEMP) and compliance with emergency on-call requirements to include participation in emergency disasters.

    *Complete other duties as assigned by the Wellness Director or Executive Director.'
