UnityPoint Clinic is actively searching for an OB/GYN to join our team in Fort Dodge, IA.

Overview:

• Full-time position, including dedicated administrative time, with flexible scheduling to ensure sufficient patient access
• Established team of physicians serving Fort Dodge and the surrounding communities
• Cohesive group of colleagues and supportive staff allowing for autonomy while building the practice according to your preferences
• Opportunity to practice in an established and well-known clinic/hospital
• Experienced staff, both clinical and non-clinical, who know the patients and the community
• Fully integrated system with clinics and hospitals on EPIC EMR to improve care coordination
• The average number of deliveries per month is approximately 10.
• The facility is equipped with a da Vinci robotic surgical system.
• The department is currently undergoing a surgical renovation and expansion.

Responsibilities

• Average patients per day: 18-25
• Work schedule: 4-day workweek
• Call rotation: Minimum 1:4
  • Weekend Call: 1 per month
• Clinic Hours:
  • Monday - Thursday: 8am-5pm
  • Friday: 8am-4pm
• 12-1:30pm reserved for attending L&D, rounding, and cesarean sections
• Call response time: 20 minutes, with option to take call from home if preferred; sleep room available for in-house call
• Pediatric Hospitalist coverage: 24/7
• Ability to work as a team member to improve the health of the people and communities we serve
• Evaluates, interprets and coordinates information to make decisions and recommendations regarding patient care
• Patient-focused, friendly and willing to collaborate in a team environment
• Excellent communication (written and verbal), analytical and problem-solving skills

Qualifications:

• MD or DO
• Board Eligible or Board Certified in obstetrics & gynecology
• Ability to obtain and hold an unrestricted license to practice in the state of Iowa
• Hold current and unrestricted state and federal authority to prescribe and administer medications as necessary or appropriate to the physicians field of practice
• Eligible to work in the United States (H1-B cap exempt)
• J-1 waiver sponsorship available
