- Lead a team of machinists, providing training, coaching, and performance feedback.
- Plan and schedule production runs using ERP systems, ensuring on-time delivery.
- Program CNC equipment (G-code, PartMaker) and operate various machines (mills, lathes) to produce high-quality parts.
- Analyze production data to identify bottlenecks and quality issues, implementing solutions for continuous improvement.
- Maintain a safe and efficient work environment, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and proper use of equipment.
- Collaborate with engineering and other departments on lean manufacturing initiatives.
- Conduct inspections to ensure parts meet all quality standards (ISO/FDA).
- Manage inventory and maintain accurate records.
- Technical Degree in machining or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a journey-level machinist or similar role.
- Strong understanding of manual and CNC machining processes.
- Proficiency in CNC programming (G-code) and a working knowledge of CAM software (PartMaker).
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to analyze data, identify problems, and implement solutions.
- Commitment to safety and quality control.
- Working knowledge of metallurgy and manufacturing materials.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings (GD&T).
- Strong mechanical aptitude and manual dexterity.
- Proficiency in using production management software (ERP).
